Welding Protection – Supplied Air Systems If you need emergency air supply, you can use an air-cart high pressure bypass assembly. This device is used for jobs of short duration that need no more than two hours of air. They can be used with pressure demand respirators, and they use cylinders at 30, 45 and 60 minute intervals. You can either use low or high pressure configurations, depending on what you need. Up to five workers can use the uninterrupted air flow. For emergency escapes, workers can use the bypass option. A Carry Air-2-Worker with CO-monitor converts shop air used for pneumatic tools and equipment into clean breathable air. These monitors provide from 1 to 5 airline respirators; a portable source of up to 30 or 60 cfm of breathable air. The 3-stage filtration system purifies compressed air removing water, oil and particulate contaminants. An optional carbon monoxide monitor is available. An alarm goes off if the CO level is past 10 ppm, and if the regulator does not work properly, there is a relief valve that will adjust and kick in to gear if necessary.The pressure regulator includes a gauge and adjustment knob with locking ring. An adjustable pressure relief valve protects the CO monitor and respirators in the event of regulator failure. This monitor can be used in AC or DC mode. It includes a support stand for stability and up-right operation. A convenient Wall-Mount unit is also available.
