Protective
Clothing Requirements for Electrical Safety
The NFPA 70E Standard
for Electrical Safety Requirements for Employee Workplaces requires
every employer to perform a Electrical Arc Hazard Assessment.
There is no "Typical Hazard" or "Typical Circumstance".
Each application is unique and needs to be evaluated.
This evaluation or assessment insures that the electrical worker
is properly trained to do the work and is wearing the appropriate
Protective Apparel for the hazard. NFPA 70E details the requirements
for each individual whether the individual is working directly
with the hazard or is in proximity to the hazard.
