Course List 1

40-HR Hazardous Waste Operations (HW40)
Course Description: This is the big class designed for our hazardous waste site workers and anyone whose facility requires them to have it. We know it’s a long time to spend in training…it’s 40 hours long!!! But, don’t worry…we will keep it informative and fun.
CD: 40 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

24-HR Hazardous Waste Operations (HW24)
Course Description: So, what’s the difference between a 40-Hour and a 24-Hour Hazwoper and the difference between the 24-hour Hazwoper and the 24-Hour Emergency Response? Confused? You’re not alone. We can help. This class is designed for our folks that might visit a waste site but whose potential for exposure to the hazardous waste is extremely low. A good way to measure your needs is to know if you might need to wear a respirator.
CD: 24 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

8-HR Hazwoper Refresher (HW08)
Course Description: Yes, it’s that time of year again when you have to attend an 8-Hour Refresher. We know you dread them and we want to change your opinion. We feel the best way to retain information is to make it fun…so we do. Some friendly competition and some unique training locations (including the beach!), make the day fly. You’ll learn a lot and have a great time in the process.
CD: 8 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Hazard Communication (HC01)
Course Description: Known more commonly as Haz-Com, this is a facility tailored course that ranges in duration. Some companies need basic information and awareness training, while others may have thousands of different chemicals and processes. Regardless, if you have hazardous substances at your facility (and you don’t need Hazwoper) you need this class.
CD: 2-4 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

24-Hour Emergency Response Technician (ER24)
Course Description: For those of us on emergency response teams whose job it is to go in while everyone else is headed out…or perhaps to evaluate that conditions are too unsafe to go in at all. We’ll teach you the difference.
CD: 24 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Emergency Response Refresher (ER08)
Course Description: If you took Emergency Response training last year then you need a refresher course this year. Don’t worry, we’ll keep it interesting.
CD: 8 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Respiratory Protection (RP01)
Course Description: This course is not only designed to show you how to properly don and doff a respirator, but also how to ensure that you have the right respirator for the job. In addition we will explain how to evaluate your work environment and how to properly care for your equipment.
CD: 3-4 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Respiratory Fit Testing (RP02)
Course Description: This service is designed to test the overall fit of your respiratory. Using a qualitative testing system, we will determine if your respirator is right for you. Both federal and state regulations mandate that you receive a fit-test every year if you wear a respirator on the job.
CD: N/A CE: N/A CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Course List 2

Lockout/Tagout (LT01)
Course Description: If your job requires you to work around electrical panels, liquid or gas lines, or other potential sources of energy make sure you understand your company’s Lockout/Tagout program before you attempt to work on or near those systems. We can help you understand what types of equipment are available and the techniques you should use to protect yourself from such hazards.
CD: 2 Hours CE: 1-30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Scaffold Safety (SS01)
Course Description: If you work on or around scaffolds, you will need to have a clear understanding of AWP’s, angles of construction, anchorage points, and the overall safety of the scaffolds you use. We have recommended that you have some knowledge of fall protection awareness before you take this course.
CD: 6 Hours CE: 1-20 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Ergonomics (EG01)
Course Description: Lifting equipment, sitting in front of the computer screen, performing repetitive motions…all of these can lead to serious medical problems. Understand the equipment and methods that you should use to keep these routine activities from causing you injuries.
CD: 2 Hours CE: 1-30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Forklift Safety (FL01)
Course Description: Ever operate your company’s forklift? Even just once? Then you need to be certified. We will explain the hazards and safe operations associated with forklift and other powered industrial trucks as well as put you through practical training on the actual forklift you will be operating at your facility.
CD: 4 Hours CE: 1-30 Students CA: On-Site Only

Fall Protection & Aerial Work Platform Awareness (FP01)
Course Description: OSHA has declared that if you work 6 feet or more above the ground, then you need this course. And while there is still some debate over Cal/OSHA and their requirements, we still want you to understand what equipment is available to protect you from a fall and how to properly use that equipment.
CD: 5 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Fall Protection Fit Testing (FP02)
Course Description: This service is designed to inspect the fall protection equipment you have chosen to use. It is designed to evaluate the fit and effectiveness of the personal fall protection equipment rather than the other components involved in the fall protection process. If you do need help evaluating the overall effectiveness of your fall protection program and your equipment as a whole, let us know and we can set you up with an on-site fall protection inspection.
CD: N/A CE: N/A CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Permit-Required Confined Space Entry (CS01)
Course Description: Do you know the definition of a confined space? How about a permit-required confined space? If you don’t, let us know and we can help you determine whether or not you have such spaces on site and whether or not you need training. And remember, more “would-be-rescuers” die every year in confined spaces than do initial victims. We don’t want you to be either one.
CD: 4 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Permit-Required Confined Space Entry & Rescue (CS02)
Course Description: You must take or have taken a course similar to CS01 to take part in this course. A mock or actual confined space will be used to demonstrate proper confined space rescue techniques.
CD: N/A CE: N/A CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Course List 3

Hearing Conservation (HR01)
Course Description: If your work environment includes average noise levels over 85dB then you need a Hearing Conservation Program. Part of that program includes training for all affected employees. Hearing loss as a result of occupational noise exposure goes often unnoticed, but is easily preventable. We will show you the effects of noise on your body (not just your ears) and also how to select and use the proper hearing protection for your job.
CD: 1-2 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

Bloodborne Pathogens (BB01)
Course Description: Does your job put you in contact with bloodborne pathogens? Where can you find bloodborne pathogens…besides in blood? Are you familiar with the term “Other Potentially Infectious Materials”? If you have the potential to come in contact with bodily fluids that do not belong to you then perhaps this course is for you.
CD: 1-2 Hours CE: 30 Students CA: On-Site, Open Enrollment

First Aid (FC01)
Course Description: What is the first thing you should do to help someone who is bleeding? Apply pressure to their wound? Elevate the injury? Put on protective gloves and safety glasses? If you didn’t choose the last option, then you should really take this course. If you did choose the last option then you will be that much further ahead when you do take this course. We will show you what to do to best help others and protect yourself. Let us know if you have groups larger than 12…we can accommodate you. We hope to offer this course on an open-enrollment basis soon.
CD: 3-4 Hours CE: 1-12 Students CA: On-Site Only

Do you know on average it takes the Paramedics 7-10 minutes to come to the scene of injury? Take this course and you might be able to save someone’s life! Let us know if you have groups larger than 12…we can accommodate you. We hope to offer this course on an open-enrollment basis soon.
CD: 3-4 Hours CE: 1-12 Students CA: On-Site Only

First Aid and CPR (FC03)
Course Description: Although we do offer First Aid and CPR courses separately, we generally recommend that you take them together. Both will provide you with valuable information and techniques. And although we hope you never have to use any of these techniques, we certainly hope that if you find yourself in such a situation that you are properly trained and equipped. Think of those close to you. Be ready to help them should the need arise. Let us know if you have groups larger than 12…we can accommodate you. We hope to offer this course on an open-enrollment basis soon.
