Hot enough? A tip to keep your body cool when it gets too hot.

If you find your body uncomfortably warm, then it’s time to cool it off!

Here’s a life hack to get you cooler:

If you have a rag or towel near you throw it in some water, rinse it out, and then place that bad boy on the back of your neck. Over time you should feel your body’s overall temperature go down, and hence, you feel cooler.

Want to speed up this process? Radians has Arctic Radwear cooling towels and wraps. These products are specifically designed to accelerate the cooling process, and stay cooler for longer than a regular wet towel or rag (up to 5 hours longer!).

So how does cooling the back of the neck help cool the body? Without dwelling too deep in the science, your body has pulse points; which are areas where your blood vessels are close to the surface of your skin. When you cool down a pulse point you cool down your blood, and that cooler blood circulates through your body and hence, you feel cooler.

Here’s a bonus tip: If you want to avoid doing the above steps, then avoid it. If you shade the back of the neck, then that will prevent that pulse point from getting hot in the first place. If the pulse point isn’t hot, your body won’t feel hot.

Ergodyne offers a variety of neck shades for all types of head wear. These Ergodyne neck shades will do just that - shade the neck, and help keep you cool.
