Safety Training Classes

Calolympic Safety offers a variety of safety training courses to meet the needs of your organization.  If you don't see the class you are searching for on the list below, please call us so that we can coordinate the training that you need.
 
General Industry Safety Classes
 

Hazard Communication (HazCom) Training

  • Required annually, if applicable

First Aid/CPR/AED Training (American Heart Association 2-Year Certification)

  • Heart Saver - for general industry and construction.  4-5 hour class includes materials and certificate.
  • Basic Life Support - for health care employees.  3.5 hour class includes materials and certificate.
ServSafe Training

Forklift Safety Training

  • Two-hour class, including classroom and on-board competence testing.  Handouts, quiz and certificate included.

Management and Employee Safety Training

  • Safety program responsibilities and effective techniques

Sexual Harassment Training

  • California compliant, two-hour required class.

Workplace Harassment

  • A growing issue, especially with issues like "bullying" in the workplace.  A 1-hour class that covers major issues.

Defensive Driving Classes

  • Commercial trucking is a series of seven safety videos, handouts and exams covering various subjects.  Training is custom-tailored to the specific needs and concerns of the client.  Also applicable for clients with mid-size trucks, such as vans and pick-ups.
 

Construction Safety Classes
 

OSHA 10-hour for Construction (English and Spanish Available)

  • Two days, classroom, certificate from Fed/OSHA

OSHA 30-hour for Construction (English and Spanish Available)

  • Four days, classroom, certificate from Fed/OSHA

Excavation

  • Including trenching and shoring.  Competent person, two hours (preferably at jobsite), classroom acceptable, video, quiz, handouts.

Fall Protection

  • Competent person, two hour class complete with video, demonstration, quiz, handouts and certificate.  Preferable to have jobsite demonstration capabilities but classroom only acceptable.

Scaffold Training

  • Competent person, two hour class (depending on class size), preferale a jobsite location with scaffolding present.  Includes vide, discussion, demonstration, quiz and certificate.

Flagger Certification Training

  • Two hour class (depending on class size), includes handouts, video, discussion, practice demonstration by all students. Quiz and certificate included. Area to practice proper flagging procedures required.

Construction-Type Forklift

  • Bobcat, scissor lift, and aerial boom training available.  Classes can be combined depending on client's need.

Rigging Safety

  • Two hour class, including video, handouts, discussion, demonstration, quiz and certificate.  Preferable at jobsite location, but classroom is acceptable.

Confined Space

  • Non-permit required - Two hour class
  • Permit required - Eight hour class
